Exhaust System
This consists of exhaust manifold, catalyst, center muffler, rear muffler and exhaust pipes. Not only reduction of the effluent gas temperature and the noise, removal of the harmfulness ingredient, but it also affects on a tone and the power performance of car so that it is one of the prime parts.
Exhaust manifold
The exhaust manifold sends high-temperature exhaust gas from the engine to the exhaust system. Conventionally, it is made of cast metal, but recently, it is often made of stainless pipe. At FUTABA, production of stainless exhaust manifolds started in spring 1989 before any other competitors, to reduce the weight and improve performance.
DPF
A filter device removing a particulate matter (PM) included in the effluent gas from a diesel car is called DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). The feature of Futaba's DPF is adopting the world's first system which applies an oxidation catalyst to a silundum filter and does the combustion removal (Consecutive reproduction) of a particulate matter by the oxygenation of the catalyst and low temperature combustion with the effluent gas.
Waste Heat Recovery Unit
This is the environmental supported product which can help the progress in mileage and heating performance by collecting the heat of the exhaust gas and warming the coolant.
